Pardot’s list email feature offers an efficient way to send targeted emails to your prospects without relying on Engagement Studio. This feature is ideal when you need to send a single email to a specific list of recipients. However, if you’re planning on sending a series of emails to that same list, using Engagement Studio may be the better option. Learn how to streamline your email campaigns and maximize your outreach with Pardot’s list email feature.
There are two different ways to send a Pardot list email. Below we will walk through both of the approaches.
Option #1: Using Pardot Email
Start by clicking on the Pardot Email tab in your menu
Next select Drafts from the side menu
From the My Drafts page you will need to click on the blue + Send New List Email button
Fill in the details about your List Email including the email name, folder the email will be placed in and the campaign that the email is connected to. When you have finished filling in these details click on the blue save button.
Using the email editor create your email. Enter the subject line for your email in the empty field on the left side of the screen. You will also want to create a plain text version of your email, for recipients whose servers may otherwise block your email. Once you are finished save your email.
Choose the list that you want your email to go to using the List (Send to) field. If you want your email to not be sent to a particular list of prospects, then select those from the Supression Lists. You can also select which of your Pardot users you want the email to come to, and which Pardot user should receive any replies.
Below the sender options, you have the ability to add completion actions. For example, you might want to have any prospect who opens your email, to become added to a particular segmentation list.
Once you have added any completion actions, you can either choose to have your email send out immediately or you can schedule the email to send at a later date. If you want the email to send out straight away click on the green Send Now button.
If you want to schedule your email for a future date then click the gray Schedule button. You will then be given the option to choose the date and time that your email is sent out. Once you have entered the desired date and time, click on the green Schedule button.
Option #2: Using a segmentation list
The second way to send a Pardot list email is to use a segmentation list. To do this you start by selecting your segmentation list.
From the four tabs at the top choose List Emails
Following this click on the blue +Send New List Email button
You can now compose your email using the same steps as in Option #1.
