Pardot’s landing page builder is a tool that allows you to create custom landing pages for your website, without the need for any coding or design skills. These landing pages can be used for various purposes, such as capturing leads through forms, promoting a product or service, or providing more information about a specific topic.
For example, let’s say you’re launching a new product and want to create a landing page to promote it. With the Pardot landing page builder, you can easily create a custom page that includes the product’s name, description, image, and a form for people to request more information or register for a webinar. You can also add a call-to-action button that directs visitors to the product’s purchase page.
The landing page builder is user-friendly and easy to navigate, allowing you to customize your pages with your own branding and design elements. You can also include tracking and analytics to see how your landing pages are performing and make data-driven decisions on how to improve them. It also allows you to A/B test different versions of a landing page to see which one performs best. Overall, the Pardot landing page builder is a powerful tool for creating effective lead generation pages for your business.
To create a landing page select Landing Page from the Content menu.
Next click on the blue + Add Landing Page button.
Give your landing page a name and connect it to your desired campaign. You can also choose to give your landing page a vanity URL. Creating a simple, easy to remember vanity URL is a good idea if you will be sharing your landing page with other people.
Select your form options. You have three different options for your landing page, these include:
- Creating a new form
- Use an existing form
- Have no form on your landing page
You now have two options for the content layout. These are:
- My Layout Templates
- Stock Templates
My Layout Templates
These are content layout templates built in HTML.
Stock Templates
Stock templates use a drop and drag builder. The major benefit of stock templates are that they are easy to create and do not require any HTML knowledge. The disadvantage is that they aren’t very flexible and are not mobile responsive. As a consequence, for most businesses using the My Layout Templates will be more suitable.
Creating a layout template
To build your own layout template, first click on the Layout Templates from the menu.
Next click on the blue + Add Layout Templates button
Now you will be presented with a basic HTML layout template. This won’t yet contain any content for your page. If you wanted to you can use this basic template to create a layout template completely from scratch. Pardot provides 5 different prebuilt layout templates that you can adapt to your own particular needs.
To select one of these prebuilt templates, click on the drop down next to import layout. Then choose the type of layout you want to use. In this example, we are using the Gated Download Template. When you have chosen the prebuilt template that you want to import, click on the Import Now button. You can also click on the Preview Responsive Template before importing to ensure that it meets your needs.
Once you have imported the prebuilt template you can further modify it using the HTML editor. When you are happy with your layout template design, give your template a name and save it.
Now that you have created a layout template, you will be able to find it in the drop down menu, next to My Layout Templates. When you have selected your desired layout, click on the blue Next button.
The final step is to add in the content that is specific to that particular landing page in the Landing Page Content section. This can include the text, images or videos that you want to feature on your landing page. When you are finished adding content, click on the blue Next button and confirm and save your landing page.
